Escape to Tolima
The Department of Tolima, located in the heart of the country, is a megadiverse territory, with sharp changes in the altitude gradient that allow us to observe birds in the Cloud Forest or Paramo during the morning, and then see them in a Dry forest during the afternoon. In ecological terms, this means a large abundance of species available for you. A short trip through Tolima could mean more than 400 species of birds in six ecosystems, a very good number of endemic species, incredible places, and wonderful people to enjoy. We will visit some beautiful iconic places for bird watching where you will also experience a close encounter with nature just a few hours from Bogotá

Dress Code
This is a fairly standard birding tour with early morning starts and evening finishes to each day. One some days we may take picnic lunches in order to no waste time during the middle of the day or having to leave site. The weather can be unpredictable with rain and sunshine both likely. At higher altitudes it can be chilly. We have an amazing photo opportunity for many species of hummingbirds and other species coming to feeders, we will also be looking for a good number of species that are very rare and seldom seen, but we will be going to areas that hold these sought-after species.
